Playing Handicap

The adjusted handicap used for specific tournament formats, calculated by applying the appropriate percentage of a player's handicap index based on the competition format and conditions. Playing handicaps differ from handicap indexes and are calculated using course handicap adjusted for competition format. Different formats require different percentages - individual stroke play uses 95% of course handicap, while four-ball better ball might use 85%.
